Grundsätzlich kannste mit

title FreeDOS
chainloader (hd0,3)+1

Auch DOS booten, wenn der Bootcode noch intakt ist.

sys c:

könntest du evtl. brauchen von ner FreeDOS Bootdisk aus. Mit Hilfe von

title FreeDOS Bootdisk
kernel (hd0,X)/usr/lib/syslinux/memdisk
initrd (hd0,X)/path/to/freedos.img

zum Test bietet sich qemu an.
