Powernow-k8

If you are suffering errors when trying to load powernow-k8 kernel module in your new and shiny AMD64 box, think on updating your BIOS software. After two hours Googling for the error I had, and finding only tips I discovered that what the error was saying to me (BIOS ERROR) was actually the truth. For all the time I was thinking that the problem was in kernel module itself.

Just for the record, the error was:

Aug 26 22:33:36 aragorn kernel: powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Athlon 64 / Opteron processors (version 1.40.2)
Aug 26 22:33:36 aragorn kernel: powernow-k8: BIOS error - no PSB or ACPI _PSS objects
