The Omnibook module is able to emulate APM battery status monitoring. For using this option, make sure to have General setup --> Advanced Power Management N i.e., you need to disable the kernel APM support. When inserting the omnibook kernel module with modconf, add following command-line args: apmemu=1 user=1
