1. Make sure you have the install DVD ready and YaST running, you will need it! 
 
2. Check if you have libxslt-devel installed. If it is not installed, the configure script will later stop with strange error messages about libraries that seem to be missing although they are properly installed. 
 
3. Upgrade taglib from Version 1.0 to 1.3, using the rpms for the library and the -devel package at

Otherwise, compile will fail due to interface incompatibilities between taglib 1.0 and 1.3. 
 
4. If you want, install Mixxx, otherwise disable the Mixxx support for the configure script. 
 
5. Run the configure script. There is no need to switch off any options. Configure will report quite a lot of missing libraries.  
 
6. In case of a missing library, you need to install the libxyz-devel package. 
 
7. Go back to 5. until configure runs without errors. 
 
8. Finally, configure should output an overview that indicates that all features are enabled. 
 
9. Make and install. 
 
So far, prokyon3 runs smoothly. One crash while remote-controlling Mixxx, but could not repeat the situation. 
 
Some clarification on the Mixxx remote control UI would have been helpful. Didn't understand first how to advance/skip/select tracks. 
 
PS: AFAIK, SuSE 9.3 has taglib 1.3, so no update is required.

      Mixxx remote controling isn't perfect yet, but working. Some features in mixxx's remote control protocol are still missing. This protocol was especially created for prokyon3. I hope that Tue (mixxx maintainer) will find some time to complete it ...
